Curcumin

Yellow pigment from turmeric that only reaches the blood in a formulation with improved absorption.

What the research shows

Shown, with a clear condition or a limited scope.

Bideshki (2024) pooled meta-analyses and saw less pain and better function in knee osteoarthritis. Hsiao (2021) saw a difference from placebo at both low and high doses, in trials that were small and short. Dehzad (2023) measured lower inflammatory markers in blood, an intermediate measure that says nothing yet about symptoms.

Who it makes sense for: People with knee osteoarthritis who use a formulation with enhanced bioavailability.
