What the research shows
No sound research in humans.
La Monica (2024) followed 30 participants for 4 weeks and measured only gut microbiome composition and tolerability, with two authors employed by the maker of the tested product. Plotnick (2003) measured brachial artery dilation after a high-fat meal in 38 volunteers, a surrogate marker, using a commercial branded product. Neither study measured a health outcome.
Who it makes sense for: Nobody who eats enough fruit and vegetables; at most it tops up micronutrients where intake is structurally short.
